When production volumes justify the creation of hard tooling, LFE can create, run and maintain large and complex tool suites. Our in-house tooling center creates hard tooling for staged and progressive sheetmetal parts and molded plastic parts. When needed, we also utilize our proven supplier network to deliver extrusions, castings, post plating, turnings, and more.

At LFE, our in-house tooling center specializes in creating high quality metal stamping and injection molding tools for the products we produce. We can produce both staged and progressive stamping dies for a wide range of volume requirements and part complexities. For plastic parts, we produce both single and multi-cavity plastic molds and support complex part geometries and mold complexities. Our product design and tooling engineers work hand in hand so that the individual tools are created with the products functional and cosmetic requirements in mind. LFE supports liquid and powder painting for sheet metal, as well as robotic liquid painting in a dust-free room environment for plastics. Several types of product decoration are available allowing us to support a broad range of product configurations. These include pad printing, silk screening and hot stamping. Since we produce products in a wide range of volumes, we are used to managing both low and high volume painting and decorating requirements at a competitive cost and lead time.
Assembly and Integration
Because LFE supports a wide range of product volumes and complexities it has developed a very efficient and effective assembly and integration capability. Whether your project consists of a handful of parts or it has hundreds, we can handle it. If you require the integration of higher level components such as fans, drives and PCBA’s we can also support your needs. Because of our customers rapidly changing demand requirements our assembly and integration capability has been designed to be scalable without sacrificing the quality and integrity of the final product.
