Most enclosure manufacturers focus only on high volume projects, but LFE understands our customer’s need for prototypes and low volume production. Utilizing our state of the art CNC equipment, including CNC turrets, lasers and press brakes, we create high quality and complex products, all with the same attention to detail that our higher volume programs receive. Our CNC shop leverages our liquid and powder paint facility, assembly lines and our tooling center to produce the highest quality units, at very competitive prices. These capabilities allow for reduced NPI launch cycles and improved product functionality.
Soft Tooled and CNC Fabrication
Prototypes are an essential tool for customers to verify and validate their designs. Our in-house CNC center can manufacture even the most complex of designs, included complex embossings and tightly toleranced designs. When needed, we can source short run molds for plastic parts, easily reducing costs versus other prototyping methods. Our prototyping and short run department can create production intent samples, on tight schedules, in quantities from one to one hundred or even more. If your project requires ongoing CNC production we can handle it with the same high quality support given to our prototyping.
When product quantities justify it we look for opportunities to utilize hybrid production concepts. Hybrid tool suites include combinations of hard tooling and CNC operations, which reduce overall costs per unit, and allow our customers improved time to market and parts with hard tooled tolerances. Examples include combining a CNC laser or turreted blank with a staged hard tool which bends and forms multiple features to high tolerance. This eliminates multiple press brake setups and greatly reduces time and tolerancing.
